Biden calls Trump a 'loser', lauds migrants achievements at Asian American congressional gala
US President Joe Biden took center stage at the 30th Gala of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) on Tuesday, where he lauded the contributions of immigrants to the United States.
Biden underscored the vital role of diversity in fortifying the nation's foundation, with a special acknowledgment of the rapid growth and invaluable contributions of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
In his speech, the president criticized former President Donald Trump's policies, particularly those perceived as discriminatory against immigrants. Biden condemned efforts to obstruct legislation aimed at empowering immigrant communities, signaling a sharp departure from his predecessor's approach.
